"The scenery was beautiful, with a wide waterfall located in the middle of the forest. The entire area is managed by the Kerala Forest and Wildlife Department. We visited on a Sunday, so the place was very crowded and it was difficult to enjoy properly. However, there were a few quieter spots where I stepped aside and enjoyed the waterfall peacefully. Overall, it was a lovely experience.nnThe climate was cool and pleasant, especially with the cloudy and rainy weather. We could only stay there for around five minutes because of the rain, but the natural views were excellent. The forest officers were also very helpful and guided visitors properly without being rude or stressed. Hats off to them for managing the crowd well and giving clear instructions.nnOne important thing to note is that the roads leading to the place are very steep and difficult, especially for larger vehicles like travellers, SUVs, and sedans. Drivers should be careful while climbing and descending.nnIf you are visiting with family, especially elderly people or children, please be very cautious. Most of the walking areas are rocky and slippery, and there is not enough safety protection in some places. Always hold their hands while walking, as it can be dangerous otherwise. It is also better to carry an extra umbrella and water bottle, since water availability is limited inside the area. There is a water can near the ticket counter, but it is safer to bring your own."
"A Hidden Paradise in Malappuram – Kakkadampoyil.nnBeautiful weather, crystal-clear cool waterfalls, and lush green hills make Kakkadampoyil a perfect nature getaway. It’s peaceful, private, and ideal for families to relax and refresh. Easily accessible with good restaurants nearby. A must-visit spot to enjoy nature at its best! 🌊🌄nnSummer weather 👌Too good"
"For security reasons, visitors are not allowed to enter the waterfalls during December. Waterfall area is controlled and protected by Forest department with the help of Vanasree group so the area is under CCTV surveillance. Visitors can buy good coffee and other eco-products from the Vanasree counter.nIf you are looking for a calm place to just relax this is a good option for you. The ticket counter accepts only online payments. Mobile tower coverage is low in the Kakkadampoyil area, but don't worry – the office staff will provide WiFi for making transactions. Very good place for nature lovers. There are so many varieties of birds, butterflies and flowers. Sometimes rocks will get slippery so be careful while visiting here with kids."
"We went on 30th April here, charges 50 per person only via UPI (no worries of network as the reception provide WiFi). There was not much crowd and water level was also not much. Good for 2 to 3 hour spend but not much to do here. Can take photos and videos. Good for family trip and keep an eye on children as its bit risky."
