"I visited Kakkadampoyil View Point last year during the rainy season, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From early morning itself, it was raining continuously, and the entire day was filled with a beautiful monsoon vibe.nnWhen I reached the top viewpoint, the atmosphere was completely covered with thick fog, along with strong winds. The combination of mist, clouds, and rain created a magical and almost dream-like environment. Visibility kept changing as clouds moved around, which made the experience even more exciting and unique.nnI have never experienced such a fully rainy and foggy hilltop view before. The greenery, fresh air, and cool climate made it feel refreshing and peaceful. It’s the perfect place for nature lovers and those who enjoy monsoon travel.nnOne thing to keep in mind is that the weather can be unpredictable, and roads may be slippery, so it’s important to be careful while traveling, especially during heavy rain.nnOverall, it was an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend visiting Kakkadampoyil View Point—especially during the rainy season—for a truly unique and beautiful nature experience."

"The ultimate escape from the heat of Malabar and a serene, high-altitude sanctuary, Kakkadampoyil is an unpolished gem where the air stays crisp and the landscape is a lush mosaic of teak plantations and dense jungle. Often called 'Mini Gavi,' the drive from Nilambur or Calicut is spectacular, featuring a rhythmic ascent through clouds and sudden blankets of mist that roll over the 'S-curve' roads and the distant roar of the Kuthradampuzha River. The highlights include the breathtaking Kozhippara Waterfalls and the Pazhassi Cave trek, which adds a layer of mystery for history buffs; however, please note that Kozhippara is closed on Mondays and the Forest Department manages it strictly for safety. While it is budget-friendly and excellent for landscape photography, the hill station is becoming increasingly commercialized with water theme parks, which can diminish the quiet vibe on busy weekends. It is about 50km from Kozhikode with narrow, steep roads that require cautious driving, so wear non-slip shoes and carry a light jacket as the temperature drops significantly after sunset. Visit during the monsoon or early winter for the best atmosphere, and please ensure this eco-sensitive zone remains litter-free!"
